We are pleased to share with you our newest exciting flavor—Syrian Date and Walnut, which was inspired by the middle-eastern treat—Ma'amoul, a shortbread pastry filled with dates and nuts. Ma'amoul is enjoyed by Syrian communities of all faiths on celebratory holidays: Muslims on Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, Christians on Easter, and Jewish communities on Rosh Hashanah and Hanukkah. We were not only inspired by the wonderful taste of Ma'amoul to create our new flavor but also moved by the great American tradition of embracing flavors from another land and bringing them into our own kitchens.
