The Black Futsu is an heirloom Japanese pumpkin variety with a wrinkly, bumpy outside that adds a spooky touch to fall decorations. There are more than just looks to it, however, with nutty, deep orange flesh that you can use as you would with any other winter squash. These special squashes are produced by Wells Homestead Acres in Riverhead, NY, an eleventh-generation family farm that grows some of the best produce we've tasted.
