Il Poggione Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Il Poggione was one of the first wineries to market the Brunello di Montalcino wine as early as the 1900s, and one of the founding members of the Brunello di Montalcino Consortium in the late 1960s. There is an intense, persistent aroma of red fruits, sour Morello cherries, leather, spices and vanilla. The texture is structured and full-bodied, with an excellent freshness and balance. An excellent pairing with red meats, game, and mature cheese (from the vintner).
