Kris Lloyd Buffalo Persian Feta, Lemon Myrtle

A luxuriously creamy buffalo milk cheese seasoned with lemon myrtle, sourced from a tiny farm next to Kris Lloyd's factory. Our Persian Feta is set overnight in a traditional lactic set, not unlike yogurt. The Feta is drained quickly, once drained it is rolled in local Lemon Myrtle, lightly seasoned with salt and left to age for 12 or so days, after which we carefully portion the cheese by hand. Each jar has a lemon myrtle and seasonal herbs added to the cheese before we fill with a blend of vegetable and Coriole Vineyards olive oil. Expect a bright, fresh citrus twist to this rich buffalo milk cheese. Wonderful as a palate cleansing appetizer! Serve on its own as the centerpiece of a cheeseboard, toss through a salad or crumble over avocado toast. (from Kris Lloyd)
