To fill out your pan with fall’s freshest offerings, you can turn to vegetables like squashes, root veggies, and brassicas including Brussels sprouts or kale. But for a sweet twist, apples can’t be beat. When baked in the oven, their flavor becomes rich and deep, providing the perfect accompaniment to milder meats like pork, easily sourced from our meat delivery service.

Sheet-Pan Pork Chops & Apples Recipe

Serves 4

What You’ll Need:
2 large apples
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
4 pork chops, 5-6 oz. each
Salt and pepper
Optional: a few sprigs of fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme

What To Do:
Preheat oven to 425 F. Line a sheet pan with kitchen foil.

Halve, core, and slice apples to about 1/2-inch thick. In a bowl, toss apple slices with honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg to evenly coat.

Season pork chops all over with salt and pepper. Arrange on your lined sheet pan. Add apple slices to same sheet, spreading them out in an even layer. Arrange a few sprigs of herbs around the sheet, if using.

Transfer sheet to oven and bake until apples are tender and pork is done cooking, 25-30 minutes depending on desired doneness. Divide between four plates and serve with potatoes, green veggies, or any other desired sides.
