Apple Goblins for Halloween
Let’s talk about this spooky little snack that’s actually pretty good for you.
If you’re looking for a healthier treat to offset all of the candy you’ll be eating over the next few weeks, this is the snack for you. Kids will love them—just look at those faces!—almost as much as you.
What You’ll Need:
Apples
Strawberries
Sunflower seeds
White chocolate
Mini chocolate chips
Peanut butter
What to Do:
First, some prep! Melt white in the microwave in 30-second increments, stirring each time. Slice strawberries into thin slices. Slice apples into quarters. Use a knife to create two cuts into the skin of the quarters, removing a small piece to create the open mouth.
Now, the assembly. Add a small bit of peanut butter in the “mouth” of the apple and place a strawberry slice on top to create the tongue. Stick sunflower seeds into the top to create teeth.
Use a toothpick to add a small dot of melted white chocolate on top of the apple. Place a mini chocolate chip on that to create the eyes.
Place on a platter for an easy after school snack or serve them at your next Halloween gathering.
